An avid outdoor sports and recreation enthusiast, who enjoys bike riding, Gray’s Lake walks, camping, hiking, and a little gardening on the side.
She has focused her energies on reforestation projects over the years with numerous tree organizations in the Des Moines area. She is also a board member of Des Moines Park and Recreation, and on the Des Moines Golf Advisory Committee.
She has been a IOU member and the membership chair since 2008. She joined the group in hopes of meeting like minded people who enjoy the great outdoors. She enjoys a lot of our local (city, state, and county) parks and trails, but would like to venture further out to some of our National Parks in the next few years. She looks forward to meeting new members, so please introduce yourself at the next IOU meeting or outing that you attend. |
