This Iowa State grad cannot get enough of the outdoors! It started early as she helped her dad on their family hobby farm just outside of Walker, IA. From fishing and sledding with her grandfather near Winthrop, IA to being an active FFA member through high school increased her interests in land stewardship and dairy cattle. Everywhere she turns she finds a new activity she loves. Her husband's family introduced her to hunting Iowa timber and snowmobiling the Wisconsin trails. When asked to play on the IOU volleyball team in summer 2011 it was a gateway to fantastic friendships. She also participates in several 5k's in the Des Moines and eastern Iowa areas and loves finding new extreme sports that scare her mother! She's almost always up to play outside, no matter the weather and no matter what the activity. |
