IOU is an outdoor-enthusiast, adventure-seeking, and equipment-sharing club based in Des Moines. Composed of individuals of all ages, professions, interests and abilities. IOU is an excellent catalyst for getting outside to play!
In 2010, 2011, 2012 & 2013 - IOU was nominated for Volunteer Group of the Year
by Polk County Conservation. IOU won the award for Volunteer Group of the Year in 2013 and member Michael Dunkin won for Individual Volunteer of the year 2013. Great job to all of the volunteers!
In September 2016 three IOU members traveled to Yellowstone National Park, WY to participate in National Public Lands day. They had the special opportunity to meet up with club Founder, Mike Coonan and volunteer for 2 days, helping to do prep work for the volunteer work day. They particpated in a trail rehab project in Mammoth Hot Springs.
IOU exists because of it's members please come and meet other members and see what interests you have in common.
